Why wait until you retire to live your dreams. It will never be the right time so just go live like it’s your last time to explore.

Before it’s too late.

Make it stand out.

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference. Logan came to me with an idea about traveling full time in a bus actually and after a lot of research we decided that converting a cargo van would be a better option for us. Follow us on our van build and see how our new tiny home on wheels turns out.

This was our first official week of working on the van...

We worked on sound proofing and insulation.

After insulation the entire van we worked on the subfloor so we could build everything on top of that.

I wanted to show this photo because this is normally how the van looks. You look on social media and you don’t see many of these photos out there.

Bathroom time! It was time to actually get some structures in the van. So bathroom was our first thing up.

As you see in this photo we we traced out where we wanted the vent fan and after a lot of thinking ahead we didn't want it to interfere with our bathroom. That's why you see it moved in this photo.

This was our first really big scary project we tackled. Making our first big cut in the van!

Now that vent fan is in it was time to move onto furring strips. This is basically studs in your house. very important because this will hold up everything in the van.

As many photos of Logan you see I do get my hands dirty also. Building out our own tiny home is a feeling I can’t even put into words.

This is the finished product of the shower framing and you can see that we had to extend it some. We messed up the first time when planning out where the hole was going to be so we could have the gray water mounted under the van. See in cargo vans there are these very think steal ribs is what I like to call them under the van and you definitely don’t want to drill through them. So making our shower a little larger had to be done so we wouldn’t hit that rib under the van.

Once we had the framing done I went back under the van to triple check we did not hit any ribs. And guess what… we are in the clear!!!!! This was such a huge relief.

Now it’s time to built the upper cabinets. Here is another part of the build we messed up on. We put in plus nuts for extra support and most of them we put on way to tight so the screws would not go in. Here Logan is having to take them out so we can redo them.

And Upper Cabinets Are In

Framing for our bed

This part of the build was probably our favorite part to do. Logan really wanted to do beer cap countertops but I thought it wouldn’t go with our overall look of the design so we compromised. We now have a 6 foot outside table to extend the living space.
